Holly going for gold – Local athlete in action today at Commonwealth games

Today local athlete Holly Mills competes in the Heptathlon at the Commonwealth games in Birmingham.

This will be Holly’s first senior appearance at the games and she will be competing in the shot put, 200m, high jump and the 100m hurdles at the Alexander stadium. With the 800m, long jump and javelin tomorrow.

Holly competes for Andover Athletics club and started her journey at 8 years old. At 14 Holly won several titles at school and national level. In July of 2017 at the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas, Holly won gold in the long jump representing England.
