We’ve had a report of a possible major fire at Andover Down Farm. There are no reported casualties and the Fire Service are on the scene.

A witness has reported there were 2 non-serious casualties.

Report by Hampshire Fire and Rescue:
“We were called to a field on fire at a farm, crews advised approx 20-30 hectares of stubble well alight and requested 2 further pumps. Following a further request for a water carrier crews advised in addition 200 tonnes of straw were also alight.”
“Stop received at 17:44 confirming fire involving 30 hectares of stubble, 300 tonnes of baled straw. A total of 25 firefighters and 3 managers attended.”
