Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Andover during the early hours of Sunday, June 23.
Between 1.45am and 2am, a 43-year-old man was sat in the taxi office at A&B Cars in Winchester Street when he was approached by a man.
The man asked the victim about some money and then punched him in the eye. The attacker was pulled out of the office by a friend who then also returned and punched the victim in the face.
The two men then left in a taxi with a woman.
Officers have descriptions of the two men. The first is described as:
- White
- Approx 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins
- Athletic build
- Short mousey brown hair
- Aged in his late 20s
- Wearing a light green or blue top
The second man is described as:
- White
- Around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins
- Dark, gelled back hair
- Aged in his late 20s
- Wearing jeans
PC Holly Searle said: “This assault happened at a time when the town centre would have been very busy and it is likely there would have been a lot of people around who may have witnessed this incident.”
