Miami’s miles for Mind

The team at Miami Mobile have embarked on a challenge to walk 100 miles in March to help raise funds for Andover Mind.

Miami Mobile, who operates the Vodafone franchise in Andover have been using the lockdown to work on their own personal development plans and training virtually to feed their thirst for first class customer service to ensure that they are ready when they reopen.

The team will be walking a total of 100 miles throughout March to raise as much money for Andover Mind, so far at time of writing they have so far raised £405. They said on their Just Giving page “Our profession is people facing and the lockdowns have been tough for us as we are missing the interaction we have with colleagues, customers, family and friends everyday. Although, we have virtually worked together during the lockdowns as a team to continue with our training and personal development plans, we started to think if we feel like this, how must other people who suffer with mental health issues be feeling? And with support for charities and non-profit organisation’s stretched as far as it ever has been before, who is supporting these people?

So we decided we wanted to help The best way we thought of was to challenge ourselves to complete 100 miles in March as a team. Money raised will be for Andover Mind which is a local charity for people who experience, or are affected by, mental health distress. Andover Mind help enable people to achieve their individual potential and to participate in society. They also engage with the local community to promote mental well-being and to challenge stigma and discrimination.

We are proud to have such a source of inspiration in our community and hope we can support them through these ever-changing times”.

Chris Brown who leads the Andover shop told 95.9FM Andover Radio “Not only do we have the teams support we have our partners helping and pushing us as well and want to raise as much money as possible”
