Muffin Break in the Chantry Centre is to close on Sunday 29th April citing high rent costs and being unable to negotiate a shorter lease.
The franchisee has apparently been in discussion with the Chantry Centre to reduce their rent and opt for a shorter one year renewable lease but after being unable to, have taken the decision to close the cafe.
Customers have been signing a petition in support of the business and staff.
The Chantry Centre or Muffin Break have not been available for comment at the time of publishing.
