New pocket map to promote town centre businesses

Andover high street shopping

Andover’s independent town centre businesses are being given the opportunity to advertise their services for free.

The Andover BID company is having 50,000 pocket maps of the town printed – and businesses within the levy area are being offered the chance to have their business included for free.

The idea came from a meeting of the ‘Andover INDIES’, a group of independent companies hosted by the business improvement organisation.

“This is a handy leaflet we are sending out to of all the great independent businesses that we have in the town centre”, says BID Manager Steve Godwin.

“The map will be sent out to over 50,000 houses in the surrounding areas of Andover, especially including all the new build properties so that people can see the wide range of independent businesses Andover has to offer.

If you are a small independent business in the Andover town centre area, you are asked to send your business details to Mr Godwin by email here.

You will need to supply your business name, address, telephone number, website address and a short summary of what your business does.

Mr Godwin adds, “If businesses would like to join the Indies group and are a BID member, please contact us as we have a meeting early next week.”
