Working together makes sound business sense

Love Andover BID

Local businesses are being given a raft of new opportunities to promote themselves and save money thanks to a new initiative from Andover BID, Andover Radio and Love Andover.

The new partnership helps small independent businesses save money on business services while also getting marketing messages to as large an audience as possible – all by working together.

Andover Radio director Ben Tuffin says, “We have always sought the most efficient ways for local businesses to get their story out to Andover’s growing population in the most cost-efficient way possible.

“Working with Andover BID we are offering businesses the opportunity to increase their social media presence, save money on marketing across multiple media platforms all while they are being offered ShopSafe 2-way radios for free and have the chance to save money on waste removal.

“If everyone worked together there are greater savings, greater opportunities and a much greater potential for accessing potential customers.”

A special package for ‘Indies’ (independent businesses within the BID levy area) are being offered an exclusive marketing package to promote awareness and drive sales from small owner-manager businesses at a drastically reduced cost.

This includes access to thousands of potential curated through delivered printed media, radio advertising and a range of social media campaigns, all constructed and delivered by Love Andover’s Lead Generation and Social Media teams.

Love Andover communicates with tens of thousands of Andoverians every week.

Today the Andover BID announced that they are inviting businesses in the BID area to have a free listing in 50,000 new pocket maps which will be delivered and distributed across Andover and surrounding villages.

Independently run companies are invited to join the ‘Indies Group’ which will meet next week by contacting BID manager Steve Godwin by email here. Small businesses have the chance to take advantage of a series of multi-media advertising campaigns devised by local radio station 95.9FM Andover Radio.

New gents’ hair salon ‘Best 1 Barbers‘ on the Upper High Street were the first company in Andover to take advantage of this new offer.

The BID company recently announced that businesses within the Business Improvement District area could save money by participating in their Waste Charter. Operator of Riverside Bowl, Valley Leisure, saved over £900 a year by signing up to the new agreement with Grist Environmental.

Andover businesses wishing to find out more about the range of money saving and marketing offers available should contact BID manager Steve Godwin or Andover Radio’s Ben Tuffin.
