Two purses were stolen from handbags at around 1.00pm on Wednesday 18th September whilst their owners shopped in Clarkes in the High Street in Andover.

The purses were in handbags left inside the shop as the owners were having their children’s feet measured upstairs. It was reported that there were 2 other women in the shop together doing a refund at the time.

One purse is described as long, green and contained cash, photos of the owner’s two cousins – one of fallen soldier Thomas Keys in uniform – a provisional drivers licence, two disabled kids gateway cards, company business cards for Swift Responder Health and Safety Training and three Halifax banks cards.

This was taken from the black zipped bag on the back of my pushchair (shown below).

The other purse was a small brown one containing cash, bank cards and pictures of the lady’s son. This was stoen from the small pink bag (also shown below) whilst her one year old son was in the pushchair.

Unfortunately the shop does not have CCTV – hopefully someone may remember seeing something suspicious around the time and place of the incident.

If you have any information please contact Andover Police. The owners are particularly keen to get back the personal photos.
