Run 105 miles during March to raise money for local hospices for children and young people

Local hospices for children and young adults, Naomi House & Jacksplace, have launched their fundraising challenge, Run4Respite.

Last year, the challenge raised an incredible £38,000 for the charity which supports life limited and life threatened children, young adults and their families. Throughout March, challenge yourself to run or walk 105 miles and raise £105 for the hospices. You can complete the challenge as quickly or as slowly as you want – as long as it’s during March. Respite care gives families the chance to regroup, to relax and to rebalance family life.

Naomi House & Jacksplace offers 24 hour respite care for the whole family, through the good days, difficult days and last days. Every mile you complete helps to make a difference to the children, young adults and families who use the services at Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Charlotte Patrick, Senior Events Fundraiser, Naomi House & Jacksplace said: “We’re delighted to see the return of Run4Respite, it was such a success last year and I was thrilled to see the local community get their trainers on to support the charity. Play activities are an important part of the hospices and by getting involved in Run 4 Respite you’re making a difference to the lives of children and young adults who visit Naomi House & Jacksplace.”

This is event is proudly supported by FORTH. Sam Cheeseman spokesperson for FORTH said: “We are delighted to commit our support as the main sponsor for the Run4Respite campaign for the second year in a row. Naomi House & Jacksplace hold the hopes and fears of parents with such compassion and care that we are honoured to support them in raising funds that allow them to continue to serve in the community.” Get involved and find out more: www.naomihouse.org.uk/run-4-respite
