The B3400 between Wells Lane Whitchurch and the B3048 at Hurstbourne Priors is closed due to a serious road accident, with queuing traffic both ways.
A male driver has been reported as being taken to hospital by air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The police have asked: “Were you in the van overtaken by a black Suburu? If so please call us – you’re a key witness”.
