‘Short back and sides and a pint please’ Rejoice as PM Announces that pubs, restaurants and hair salons can open from 4th July

Restaurants, pubs, hotels and hair salons have been given the green light to open from 4 July in England, when social distancing will be eased.

Boris Johnson said people should remain 2m apart where possible but a “one metre plus” rule will be introduced.

The prime minister said “Where it is possible to keep two metres apart, people should,”.

“But where it is not, we will advise people to keep a social distance of one metre-plus, meaning they should remain one metre apart while taking mitigations to reduce the risk of transmission.

This will include wearing a face mask on public transport, hand washing, screens, being outside and limiting time spent with others.

After 3 months of lockdown and closed, the pubs, restaurants and hair dressers will be delighted that they can resume business on 4 July. This has been a really difficult time for these businesses and we urge to support these local businesses.

Here at Love Andover we will be talking to the many great businesses over the next couple of weeks who will be back open again on 4 July. Getting an insight into what to expect when they reopen.
