The recognition it brought us gave a boost to our early endeavours to get this innovative and exciting enterprise off the ground. One year after opening, by December 2013, we should have all our three floors – a successful art and craft gallery for Hampshire artists, a new cafe and the education and community spaces.

The kick-off event was hosted by Britain’s national mapping authority, Ordnance Survey, which has headquarters in the south of the region at Adanac Park, Nursling. Greg Tumilty, Building and Property Services Manager said: “Ordnance Survey is an internationally recognised organisation and very much part of the Test Valley business community so we’re delighted to support these awards.

Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Janet Whiteley added: “There are well over 5,000  businesses operating across the Borough, from larger ones like Ordnance Survey to sole traders. Each and every one of them contributes to the Test Valley’s success and I urge them all to enter these awards which recognise business excellence.

The Test Valley Business Awards are free to enter using the simple online form at www.tvbawards.org.uk
