The work of one of Andover’s leading charities that supports ex-service personnel will be highlighted tomorrow evening.

Local radio station 95.9FM Andover welcomes back Forces Re-Engineered to ‘The Word’, a weekly programme that gives people and organisations who do good for the town a platform to discuss their work in detail.

Tomorrow from 8:00pm Ben Morris will talk with Stephan West from Forces Re-Engineered, a social enterprise based on Walworth Industrial Estate, which seeks to honour injured ex-military men and women by providing the opportunity to stat a new career in motor engineering.

The local organisation whose work is well respected and documented particularly assist those who suffer Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in a training and working environment that has been adapted to accommodate the specific requirements of those who have suffered the effects of war.

The programme returns with special reverence on the day, 101 years after guns fell silent across the battlefields of Europe. However, conflict has continued and the organisation was set-up by Stephan West who has over 20 years experience in the motor trade.

The organisation has been supported by the Army Covenant Fund and Test Valley Borough Council and have recently created a unique glass-guitar coffee table. Tickets to enter the raffle at £5 and are available for purchase here.

All the money raised from the coffee table created by the team at Forces Re-Engineered will be shared between Forces Re-Engineered and Veterans in Action (VIA).
