A former PCSO from Camberley who tried to rob an Andover garage ATM and planned to steal from the Weyhill Garage ATM has failed in a bid to have his sentence reduced.
Gary Bryan Slater was jailed for 15 months in July of this year following a hearing at Winchester Crown Court.
His defence argued that the 15 month sentence was “manifestly excessive” however Mr Justice Lewis said: “It involved offences which took place on three separate occasions. In these circumstances, the judge was entitled to conclude that only a custodial sentence was appropriate. Further, in our judgment, the sentence imposed was not manifestly excessive.”
