Steve Large – conductor and musical director of Andover Town Band – has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to Brass Band Music in the New Years Honours List 2014.
For a chance to see Andover Town Band perform, they are performing “We Are The Champions” on Saturday 11th January – a joint concert by the Andover Town Band & Woodfalls Band, raising money for the Stroke Association.
Andover Town Band is a local charity run by a dedicated team of volunteers. It was formed in November 2010 a group of individuals set about reforming the Andover Town Band of old with the sole aim of providing a unique brass band experience from the complete beginner to top class players.
