The Clatfords Village Store in Goodworth Clatford had some airtime on BBC1 earlier today (Friday 19th April) when it appeared on “Escape to the Country“.
Steve and Lindy, a couple from Camberley who were staying on the Isle of Wight, were looking for a property with a budget of £550,000 when they were shown properties in Goodworth Clatford.
There is an interview with Jane Eastwood in the village shop and she tells the couple about the locals helping with the shop and the great community spirit within the village.
Both pubs also get a brief look-in – the Royal Oak and the Clatford Arms – and the couple had a look round a £485,000 property as their first option.
We were then back locally as the Mystery House was revealed to be in Little London – with The Oak at Smannell getting another brief look-in. The couple appeared to like this 17th century thatched cottage the best of the three with a price tag of £550,000.
