I am not Pam Ayres,
Funny poems are not my thing,
People don’t laugh,
At the words I write,
But they may laugh at me,
Because I look such a sight.
I am not Pam Ayres,
She writes about her teeth,
And people will giggle,
But not at my words,
Though they may laugh at me,
Because I look so absurd.
I am not Pam Ayres,
With her Oxfordshire accent,
Her poems cause a titter,
But not when I speak,
Perhaps I may cause a stir,
When I talk with a squeak.
But I am not Pam Ayres.
