Andover darts fans are in for a treat when some of the best players in the world appear in the town on Thursday 7th November including locals Colin and Arron Monk.
The PDC stars, including 2013 Premier League Darts winner Michael van Gerwen, are appearing at an exclusive event at Andover Leisure Centre.
World number two van Gerwen, of the Netherlands, will be joined by James Wade, winner of seven major titles, and former World Champion Ted Hankey.
Also showing off their skills will be former Players Champion Paul Nicholson and Andover’s very own father and son duo of Colin and Arron Monk.
Arron is a former World Under-21 Champion, while his father, Colin, is a former World Masters winner.
Arron Monk said: “I am really looking forward to playing in this event. It is fantastic to have the opportunity to play some of the top players in the world in my home town.”
“To be sharing the stage with my Dad will be great as he is a bit of a local legend. It should be a fantastic night.”
Local darts players will get their chance to take on the pros on the night. Details of how to qualify will be released in due course.
Former World Champion Andy Fordham will also be in attendance on a unique night of sporting entertainment.
