Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver died in a collision near Fullerton.
At around 12.20pm today (Friday, June 28), a Ford Fiesta, travelling south on the A3057 towards Fullerton was in collision with a Ford Transit van heading in the opposite direction.
The 81-year-old from Andover driving the Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van driver, a 29-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, with minor injuries.
The A3057 Romsey Road remains closed in both directions at the scene and local diversions are in place. The closures are expected to remain in place for the next couple of hours to allow for recovery and investigation of the scene.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle driving prior to it.
