On 13th April a new reward scheme was launched to support independent businesses and make shopping locally more appealling to residents in Andover and, as the scheme grows, Test Valley.
Residents of the borough who become members receive a plastic membership card, which can be used to collect membership-rewards from partipating businesses across Test Valley when shown.
Peter Myhill, director of the Borough Rewards scheme, explained: “This is unlike the traditional loyalty card which typically benefits just one business by way of encouraging the customer to return.”
The Rewards Card gives benefits to the members each and everytime it’s used in conjunction with a purchase from a particpating business.
The scheme works by promoting businesses collectively: as more and more businesses become Reward Partners, more rewards become available to members. “Presently, with the Reward Partners onboard, residents could save over £300 a year when showing the card at various independent businesses, the majority of which are based in Andover.”says Peter.

If you have a business based in Test Valley and you provide products and services to local residents you may be eligible to become a Borough Rewards Partner. Benefits include a listing on the Borough Rewards website, additional social media advertisment including Youtube, and monthly direct mailing to members, all at no direct cost to your business.
