If you don’t know already we have a water shortage in the village, which means that some people at the top of the village do not have water at various times during the day. This is due to the repair work going on at the Reservoir (Water Tank) at Stonefield Park.
We have been told today that Southern Water have installed temporary tanks at West Down and these are being topped up by tanker daily, to ensure that they remain at 70% capacity. This is to make sure that everyone has water pressure.
The repair work and new pumps will be completed by the 4th August, but we have been asked to spread the word that people do not to use sprinklers and conserve water, so that everyone in the village has water.
If you could share this with everyone you know in the village then hopefully we can all turn on a tap and get water.
