The show must go on! – The Lights are back on and ready to take bookings for their special edition winter season.

The Lights Andover, are delighted to announce a small, but perfectly formed, winter season to tempt you back to the theatre …

A select programme of comedy, music and family theatre has been put together to appeal to a wide audience, kicking off with Choice Grenfell on 12 November.

The show is a wonderful tribute to a national treasure and the godmother of comediennes; featuring some of the best of Joyce’s hilarious songs and monologues from Stately as a Galleon and School Nativity Play to A Terrible Worrier and First Flight. Joyce is your guide for a delightful delve into some of her most endearing characters, ably accompanied by her trusted pianist William Blezard.

“Tremendously funny and totally on the ball” The Telegraph

Bringing you bang up to date with comedy, look no further than Carl Hutchinson, who is back on 21 November with his new tour:  Carl Hutchinson is Allowed out to Play Again!  Just like everyone one else Carl has been shelved for the last year, but he is now delighted to return to The Lights and offer a night of stand-up comedy, indoors, socially distanced, under a tent, in a mask that’s been sanitised, before we get grounded, or whatever the rules are this week.

Join Carl as he does what he does best in a celebration of comedy returning to Andover!

The last of the winter season events planned for grown-up audiences seeks to transport you to an intimate and sultry café bar in Eastern Europe when Moscow Drug Club perform live and local on 12 December.

Combining their original material with songs by the likes of Jaques Brel, Leornard Cohen, Tom Waits & Bertolt Brecht, Moscow Drug Club provide an intoxicating and intimate musical experience.

For something a little more family orientated though, The Lights is delighted to announce some Christmas sparkle!  On 19 December the delightfully magical production of Who Goes There, Little Snow Hare will be performed at 1.30pm and 4.30pm.

Join the MakeShift Ensemble on an enchanting journey with Lottie Docket who, with the help of little Snow Hare and friends ventures into the starlit night to find her letter and get it to the right hands….because letters should always be delivered on time!

A magical winter’s tale full of puppetry and beautiful storytelling for ages 3+ and all the family.

For all of those who are lamenting the lack of panto this year, then look no further than the finale show of 2020 for something just as fun and exciting for little ones… Santa’s Christmas Cracker – the socially distanced show where every child can get a present from Santa!

Following last year’s sell-out performances of Santa’s Christmas Countdown, Honalee Media are delighted to present their next hit tour – the show will go on this Christmas, with a socially distanced Santa Show!

It really is the most wonderful time of the year, so it’s no surprise that everyone at the North Pole is super-excited as Christmas draws near!

Father Christmas is busy making toys, Dotty the Elf is decorating the Christmas tree and Dasher the Reindeer is getting presents onto his sleigh – but then they meet a lost penguin who has never even heard of Christmas…

Performances at 10.30am and 1.30pm.

The children’s shows are only available by booking through the Box Office: 01264 368368 Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to ensure we can find you the best seats possible and maintain your distancing without you having to worry.

Each event in The Lights special edition winter season has been carefully put together to ensure that customers enjoy the same warm welcome they are used to at the venue, plus a few added extra measures to keep everyone safe and sound.  Numbers are restricted on all events so that the venue can ensure social distancing, so early booking is advised.
