The Breakers project moved ever closer to its target today after a £10,000 private donation was received to the fund.
The donor, who does not wish to be named yet, thought the project was an excellent benefit to the community and wanted to do something to help.
Anji Gillies, who has spearheaded the project, said “This is a very welcome donation and very very appreciated. This means we now have £100,000 of the required £160,000 to open with the bowling alley.”
Miss Gillies also added that smaller donations are also very welcome and can be made via the Breakers website.
