Over 100 local business people have confirmed their attendance at this Friday’s Andover Informal Business Networking Evening (AIBNE).
The popular event which will be held at The Angel pub on the upper High Street will have a festive feel as there will be Christmas tasty treats, a complimentary drink on arrival and live music from popular local singer Jake Ward.
The event has been organised to coincide with event co-organiser David Harber and colleague Ben Tuffin’s leaving party. Harber says, “It seems only fitting that I give something back to the business people of Andover after my two and a half years here“.
“I am warmed and heartened by their support since a ‘restructuring’ of The Breeze radio station has forced my hand in seeking projects elsewhere in the UK. I am genuinely sad to be leaving this great town.”
The evening starts at 5.30pm for people just finishing work, and will continue late into the night. Jake Ward will be performing a number of Michael Buble, Ratpack and festive songs mid-evening. Festive catering has been arranged with Mead Events, a free drink on arrival is courtesy of Harber’s own company and the evening intends to raise money for locally-based charity, “Breathtakers OB Trust”.
AIBNE is co-organised by local HR and employment expert Julia Homan who says, “I am pleased to say that Friday evening looks like it will be a big event in the Andover business-social calendar. The confirmed numbers of attendees for Friday shows the respect that David and Ben have with the business community.”
“The event, as ever, will be relaxed and fun and the doors are open to any business in Andover to come and join us, meet new people and ideally start the process of opening up more opportunities for Andover businesses to do business with Andover businesses”.
